“California Morning” has a slight AC/DC touch to it with its guitar riffs. It is insanely catchy, melodic, and, well…rocking! These songs all seem to rely on structures involving highly melodic choruses and hooks. This album kicks off with “Siberian Queen”, which really showcases how the rest of the album is going to be. I’m not usually a huge hard rock fan, but this surprised me greatly, and I’m really glad I was recommended this album. I was not given an album to check out, so I decided to start with their first, “Internal Affairs”. This is not really a metal band, but instead a hard rock band that seems to pay homage to a lot of the classic rock bands through their sound with a modern twist. I was not sure how I would feel about this band, honestly. This is nothing at all like Soilwork and I’m very pleased by that. The Night Flight Orchestra is said project. Little did I know that he was already involved in such a project. The reason behind this was due to the fact that I noted Björn Strid's clean vocals are actually pretty good despite the album being lackluster overall and I wouldn’t have minded hearing him play in a band where he doesn’t utilize his harsh vocals. I was recommended this album by someone after they read my review for Soilwork’s “Stabbing the Drama” album.
